I thoroughly recommend James Gorey Estate Agent. From the very first meeting with James it was clear he was very professional, friendly and enthusiastic. He was far more upbeat and positive about the housing market at the time than other agents and gave me confidence that he and his team would achieve a good price for the property I was looking to sell. The whole process felt less stressful than I had imagined it would be despite some challenges along the way and that was down to the way James and his team managed everything so well. Where to start? I have heard many stories of bad experiences with estate agents so was not expecting much. James has far exceeded those expectations and more. He was constantly there to help and guide with a calm demeanour and a smile on his face. Whenever I had any concerns he calmly talked me through them and even came round to help me with the paperwork! I cannot praise him highly enough and thoroughly recommend him.

The moment we met James whilst valuing our property, we knew we would list with him - his property knowledge and local area insight and experience proved we were in safe hands.

We then found our dream house online and then the pressure was on to find a buyer for us a buyer in rapid time, to ensure we didn’t miss out! James genuinely cares about every house and family he is serving and made me feel at complete ease and the service was so personal it made us feel like we were his own clients (judging by the amount of James Gorey - Sold boards outside houses in our area - we knew this certainly wasn’t the case)! Every phone called answered, messages sent and emails replied to - unlike other agents, where you are just a number to them and a commission in their pocket.

The personal and friendly approach really means a lot and I would recommend them to anybody else selling their home.

He knows the market very well and excels at getting people through the door. He is honest, friendly and polite and isn't at all pushy but gets the job done in a calm and very professional manner. We got regular feedback regarding potential purchasers' views on the property and once a sale was agreed James kept his foot on the peddle liaising with everyone in the chain. He spoke to the solicitors and knew where we were in the process at all times. James was extremely responsive to emails and phone calls, acting on queries and requests without delay. James Gorey is the best estate agent we have ever dealt with and we have spoken to a lot whilst trying to find our new property! We bought a property from him so this review is about the service we received on the buying side. He was incredibly professional throughout the negotiation process. He gave us advice whilst not blurring the lines between the buyer and the seller and was very quick and efficient at replying to all of our queries. On our moving day he helped chase the solicitors for us so that we could get our keys and when we were ready, he met us at our new home and gave us a very warm welcome. If we ever had to move house again we would definitely use James Gorey on the selling side as our experience on the buying side couldn't have been better. Would highly recommend!

James was the fourth agent I used and I was not disappointed, he is understanding, honest and very professional. He sold my retirement home which is sometimes difficult, but he got the job done. I would definitely recommend him 10/10.

James is super professional, always happy to answer any queries you have and responds promptly. You can always get hold of someone on the end of the phone, they helped to make the moving experience a lot less stressful. Don’t use anyone else if you want to sell or buy a property. Having used 2 other local agents over a period of nearly a year with little or no success we called on James Gorey. Within a week of marketing our property we had numerous viewings, one of which proceeded to offer within only 2 weeks and the house was sold. The marketing from quality of photographs, house description to website and social media exposure was outstanding. James regularly kept in touch, updating us on progress. A special mention should also go to Jayne, our sales progressor, who became the lynchpin between our solicitor, our purchasers solicitor and our new build developers. James and Jayne are always available, return calls and follow up on queries. We would highly recommend James Gorey and his team who provide an exceptional service.

James Gory found a buyer for our house within days of us putting it on the market. James also negotiated an excellent deal on the house we finally purchased. There were many complications on this house. But throughout all of the stages, James and Jayne (post sales)were there to see us through and were always on the end of the phone to help and reassure us. James Gorey Estate Agents were very professional from the outset and they made the interest of their client their priority. They found a buyer for my property shortly after marketing it. The selling price James negotiated was slightly above my expectation and their commission was very reasonable. James Gorey himself and his team were updating both me and the buyer regularly and the completion was achieved in reasonable time considering that it was in the middle of Covid-19. I highly recommend them and I can tell James that he will be my Estate Agent of choice in the future.
